Description

Canon EF100mmMacroL, F4.5, 1/3200 A bubble blowing fly. It is not clearly understood why flies blow bubbles and there have been lots of suggestions including cooling by evaporation, heating by solar gain, being sick, scaring away attackers, cleaning their mouth parts, and aerating liquid food. "God in his wisdom made the fly And then forgot to tell us why" -- The Fly by Ogden Nash
